Norbert Boos

Prof. Dr. med. Norbert Boos trained in Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Canada, and England to become a highly specialized spine surgeon. Additionally, he earned an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich. Today, his clinical practice encompasses the entire spectrum of spine surgery. He is actively engaged in clinical and basic research, with the aim of advancing the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. He has authored over 500 scientific publications and conference presentations. Alongside numerous international research awards, he has received the Volvo Award – the most prestigious prize in spinal research, three times.

Before founding Prodorso – Center for Spine Medicine in 2009, Norbert Boos served as Head of Spine Surgery at Balgrist University Hospital for over a decade. In addition to holding numerous leadership roles within professional societies, he currently serves as President of the Spine Expert Group of the Swiss Society for Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Swiss Orthopaedics).
