Norbert Boos

Prof. Dr. med. Norbert Boos trained in Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Canada, and England to become a highly specialized spine surgeon. Additionally, he earned an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich. Today, his clinical practice encompasses the entire spectrum of spine surgery. He maintains a dedicated interest in both clinical and basic research, aiming to advance the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. He has authored over 500 scientific publications and presentations. Alongside numerous international research accolades, he has won the most prestigious award in spinal research (the Volvo Award) three times.

Before founding Prodorso – Center for Spine Medicine in 2009, Norbert Boos served as Head of Spine Surgery at Balgrist University Hospital for over a decade. In addition to holding numerous leadership roles within professional societies, he currently serves as President of the Spine Expert Group of the Swiss Society for Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Swiss Orthopaedics).
