Karen Rezzoug

Dr. med. Karen Rezzoug completed her medical degree in Leipzig, Germany, where she also undertook her specialist clinical residency at the world-renowned Leipzig Heart Centre and the St. Georg Medical Centre. Since 2009, she has served as an Attending Physician (Oberärztin) for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine across several leading Swiss hospitals. Currently, she balances her clinical expertise between private practice at the Prodorso Spine and Pain Centre and her role as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Zurich’s Spital Zollikerberg.
Driven by a dedication to complex pain syndromes, Dr. Rezzoug completed an advanced, multi-year fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Swiss Paraplegic Centre in Nottwil between 2010 and 2013. Her advanced qualifications have been fully accredited by the Swiss Society for Interventional Pain Management (SSIPM) since 2013. Additionally, she is a certified Neural Therapist and active member of the Swiss Medical Society for Neural Therapy (SANTH) since 2015—utilizing neural therapy as a highly effective complementary or standalone modality to regulate the autonomic nervous system and alleviate chronic pain conditions.
Recognizing that chronic pain is deeply intertwined with psychological well-being, Dr. Rezzoug takes a holistic, empathetic approach to patient care. To address the psychological impact of prolonged pain, she completed certified training in clinical hypnosis at the Milton Erickson Institute in Tübingen, Germany, and regularly participates in advanced clinical supervisions. She holds official federal accreditation for Delegated Psychotherapy.

Dr. Rezzoug strongly advocates for a multimodal, interdisciplinary treatment matrix, seamlessly collaborating with spine surgeons and physiotherapists to deliver bespoke, integrative pain relief tailored to Zurich's international and corporate expat community.
